About us

October, 2012 after coming from Cambridge (UK) to India, I have started working with Government Registered Organization SIFS INDIA where I use to deal with various types of Forensic Services: such as Forensic Education, Forensic Investigation, Forensic Training, Forensic Internship, Forensic Research, Security Services, and Scientific Equipment Department. In SIFS INDIA, I have experience of taking fingerprints from dead bodies, criminals and suspect, from crime scenes, Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for private organizations, visa immigrations and for FBI on real cases. In addition, I have also given my expert reports, expert opinions after analyzing more than 50 hand writing, signature and fingerprints cases, 2 MMS cases, 1 case of motor vehicle identification, and 1 case of voice forgery reorganization..

On 06-July, 2012, I was awarded by Master in forensic science from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge (England, UK). During this program, I got exposure to basic and various advanced areas of Forensic Science. I feel great fascination for advance study and research in the field of Forensic and its application in any crime investigation as well as other interdisciplinary research areas. I want to further improve my strong technical skills, which can be achieved by joining forensic PhD program in your university; which is known for having excellent academic, research atmosphere and cooperative scientific community.

In M. Sc. Forensic (tri-semester, program), I studied courses related to advance field of Forensic science: such as Evidence Collection and Management, Mastering Forensic Evidence, Mastering Forensic Analysis, Specialized Topics, Research Methods and Preparation, Masters and Research Project. In an Experimental Forensic I gather my knowledge on Fingerprints analysis, hair analysis, drugs analysis, paint analysis, fiber analysis, documents analysis, foot prints, body fluids, blood pattern analysis using microbial, spectroscopic and mechanical technique such as, FTIR, GC-MS comparison microscope, low and high power microscope. In addition of crime scene management, in a group we visited crime scene, collected evidences then analyzed them in laboratory and finally witness statement was presented in moot court. These are mostly a combination of laboratory and court reports (including witness statements), oral presentations and closed examinations. Some essay and report writing was required. The research project is by submission of a dissertation (20000 words) and oral presentation. I have completed a project, titled: “Method development for analysis of Amphetamine type stimulants using GC-MS”. The objective of this project is using a gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) method was developed and validated for the concurrent requirement and quantification of d-amphetamine sulphate, methamphetamine (MA), Ibuprofen, Piperazine hexahydrate, 1-(4-methoxyphenyl) piperazine (pMeOPP), 1-(4-Trifluoromethylphenyl) piperazine (4-TFMPP), 1-Benzylpiperazine (BZP) and 1-(2- methoxyphenyl) piperazine (oMeOPP), using Quinoline as an internal standard. All this abused drugs was purchased by chemical supplier. Different dilution preparation was calculated then specific amount of volume was used for different methods. After solutions were evaporated to dryness, they were derivatized using 50, 100, 150 and 200 µL pentafluoropropionic acid anhydride (PFPA) at 80oC for 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. Time optimisation and derivatisation optimisation give very good results at 150 µL volume of PFPA with 80oC temperature and 30 minutes duration of heating time. In addition as a second derivatisaing agent N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl)-trifluoroacetamide and trimethylchlorosilane (BSTFA:TMCS) were used at 70oC for 30 minutes and analyzed by GC–MS. The linear range was 0.025–0.5 mg/mL for all drugs, with the coefficients of determination (R2). The limits of detections (LODs) and the limits of quantifications (LOQs) for each analyte were lower than 0.0111 mg/mL and 0.0317 mg/mL. The method was proved and is also suitable for the simultaneous detection and quantification of all selected drugs. This project work presented by me in December-2012 and published under International Science Congress Association – INDIA.

At the end of 2008, I have completed Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bioinformatics from Sikkim Manipal University. During this program I got exposure to basic and various advanced areas of Bioinformatics. In M. Sc. (Four semester, distance learning program), I studied courses related to advance field of Bioinformatics, Pharmachemistry and Microbiology. In this program, along with the course work (refer Resume) I have completed a six month project, titled:“Pharmacophore modeling on leukemia”. The objective of this project is to design a pharmacophore model based on analysis of genetically linked genes ABL1 chro-9, AFF1 chro-4, and MKL1 chro-22 which are responsible for Leukemia. The model was prepared with the help of ligandscout 1.03 Tool. I have also attended workshop on “Biological sequences analysis and application in crop improvement” at G. B. Pant University (Uttarakhand) Nov16-17, 2007 which is a premier institute in Agricultural Research in India.

Since Forensic DNA analysis demands good knowledge of computer programming and analysis skills, I have spent enough time to learn computer languages (C, C++, Visual Basic, PERL, Core Java, HTML, XML), Data base and Operating System. Further, to improve my Programming skills I was trained on C#DOTNET Technology at Alien SoftNet Technology Pvt. Ltd. As Forensic DNA Analysis demand PERL to analyze DNA sequences so I am very comfortable with PERL basics and have some idea about data parsing. I am little bit acquainted about SQL-2005 to organize data and run most common Query. I am able to work with HTML, and have developed a website named Micro Informatics containing various experimental details of microbiological experiments and standard testing methods like Staining of micro organism, chemical and micro organism analysis and study of water, milk and food and many more. This website application can run on client system. I can search Better result from NCBI, EBI and internet. Working with computer I have been well known with Windows and can handle issues related to software as well as hardware.

Before M.Sc I completed Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Microbiology with Pharmachemistry. During my B.Sc. program, I studied Microbiology, Pharmachemistry, chemistry, and Environmental Science and completed experimental research project for the Design of Fully Working Fermentor Model. I am sure; all these studies will help me in the my PhD program. It’s my personal opinion that I must need more exposure in the terms of guidance, experimental facilities and new technology in the field of forensic.

In future, I intend to continue my research in the area of Forensic science and any kind of crime investigation. University also encourages students to establish their credentials in the field of research and foster long-term research partnerships between companies and academics for mutual benefit. Being a part of university would thus give my ideas and concepts the shape needed to be commercially feasible as well. Hence, Master in forensic is the first step to shape up my dreams into reality.

The department has a unique blend of experts in the field of forensic sciences, and digital forensic biology. What drew my attention was the balanced course structure covering both qualitative and quantitative aspects of forensic knowledge and external collaboration with worldwide university network. Today I am applying with full confidence that pursuing education at your University would provide me a scaffold upon which I can further sharpen my skills and capabilities. The postgraduate degree from your University would entitle me a global degree and international recognition. Since the world is fast expanding with new horizons, studying at your university will open a plethora of opportunities which can be utilized for betterment of humanity in my country. Apart from enhancing job opportunities in developing world like India, this degree will enshrine my career and boost research prospects so that I can better cater to the needs of my people, and people all over the developing world. I hope to achieve academic and professional excellence through your University for I firmly believe in perfection in whatever ventures I undertake.
